Basant Panchami Shree Panchami is also called. It is a Hindu festival in which believers worship Saraswati, the goddess of art and knowledge of music. The festival is celebrated every five days in each year Maagh. According to Hindu beliefs and traditions, children learn to write their first words, Brahmins are fed and Kamadeva (God of Love) and ancestors are revered, many educational institutions in the country to organize prayers and celebrations of the goddess Saraswati.

Yellow play an important role in the festival that people usually wear yellow clothes during the festival and eat candy yellow. Goddess Saraswati is the consort of Lord Brahma the creator. Her expression is always calm and serene she is sitting on a white lotus wearing a white silk sari. She has four hands representing the intellect, the mind, the ego and vigilance are the four aspects of human personality. The devotees worship in temples by bookkeeping as his idol. The most famous temple in India Saraswati is located in the city of Shringeri in Karnataka.

Traditions

Basant Panchami is celebrated with great aplomb in the states of Punjab and Haryana. It is celebrated to welcome the spring or'' Basant Ritu '. Fields are in full bloom and beautiful, especially the mustard fields. The kite is a major event during the festival and is celebrated with great zeal. Preparation for this event begins days before the actual festival. Delicious dishes and sweets are prepared during the festival and new clothes are worn. In Haryana, dishes like sweet yellow rice topped with saffron are specially prepared for this festival.

Essential Tourism

As yellow is the color of the party, ladies wear yellow saris, people eat candy and yellow kites are mostly made of yellow paper. Some people use the spotlights kite at night. All family members gather in the same place during the festival and indulge in revelry and pray.

Kite flying competitions take place and people stand on their roofs or other open space and fly kites.
